Field Conditions - to be updated Monday - Friday 3PM and Saturday/Sunday at 7:30AM.
Monday February 8th 2PM:
All fields and batting cages permitted to PYLGSA in Yorba Linda are OPEN
EXCEPT EASTSIDE FIELDS WHICH ARE CLOSED. EASTSIDE BATTING CAGES ARE OPEN. PLEASE STAY OFF OF THE FIELDS COMPLETELY IF USING THE CAGES.
All fields and batting cages permitted to PYLGSA in Placentia are OPEN.
Pitching and Catching Clinic is rescheduled for Friday evening at YLMS North Softball. 8U @ 6PM; 10U @ 7PM; 12U/14U @ 8PM.
In the event of rain or lightning all fields and batting cages will close immediately.

Pitching & Catching Clinic
Calling all pitchers and catchers! Good for managers and coaches to learn the art of pitching and catching as well. Every team may send 2 pitchers and 2 catchers to the clinic. Each pitcher MUST have someone there to catch for them (it can be a parent, a coach, or someone else that is capable of catching). If it is a player they must wear catching gear. The two clinics are separate so players going to the catching clinic will not be available to catch pitchers at the pitching clinic.

Guest Speaker: Sue Enquist
Sue was the Head Coach at UCLA for 27 years, won 11 National Championships,
had a career record of 887-175-1, and both played and coached on the U.S National Team. Amazing!!
So mark your calendars for

Each player should receive a booklet of 10 raffle tickets.

Winner from each division (6U, 8U, 10U, 12U & 14U) for the player that sells the most tickets! Winner will get a gift card to Dick's Sporting Goods
Ticket turn in date is set for Monday, February 22nd - 7pm ERA Building (Corner of Yorba Linda Blvd and Lakeview). Please have one representative from each team turn in your tickets in the marked envelope that was provided with your tickets.
Please also indicate which player sold the most tickets from your team and the quantity.
Tickets are limited and additional tickets will be distributed on a first come first serve basis!

 The PYLGSA Spring Softball Umpire Clinics will be held onn Saturday, February 13, 2010 for all interested umpires in working this spring season. The rules clinic will be at the ERA Real Estate Building (2nd floor conference room - 18431 Yorba Linda Blvd, Yorba Linda, CA 92886) from 9 - 11 AM. The mechanics clinic will follow from 11:30 - 1:30 PM at the softball fields at Esperanza High School.
