July 20  -  Congratulations to our 12U Blue Allstar team who finished in 4th place in the NSA Western World Series in Reno!!  Overall, Fierce outscored their opponents 89-23 and finished with 6-2 record for the tournament against some of the best teams in the country.  For the season, Fierce finished with an overall record of 25-7-1, two tournament championships and two 2nd place finishes.  Way to go girls!!
 
 
       
July 13  -  Congratulations to the PYL All Star Teams for their play in the ASA CA State Championships this weekend in San Diego.  The 10U Red team came in 1st Place, 12U Red came in 4th place, and 16U came in 5th place!!!  10U and 12U both qualified for the Western National Championships to be held in Las Vegas July 27 - August 3.  16U has qualified for the Western National Championships in Cheyenne, WY July 28 - August 3.
 
Congratulations to all PYL All Star teams on a great season.  Way to go girls!!!

Advances to 4th Consecutive Gold Medal Game
 08/18/08   USA defeats China 9-0; Finishes round robin play perfect
Team USA has outscored its Olympic opponents by a combined score of 53-1 enroute to a perfect 7-0 record. To play No. 2 Japan 9:30am on the 20th.
 08/14/08   USA comes from behind over Canada; Defeats Japan 7-0
The USA Women’s Softball team garnered two victories and an Olympic record for home runs in a game on Friday afternoon at Fengtai Field. The Noon game saw the U.S. record its third shutout with a 7-0 five-inning victory over 2006 World Championship silver medal team Japan. In game two, the U.S. entered the game down 1-0 in the fourth inning after the game was suspended on Thursday due to weather. Capitalizing on Canadian errors, the U.S. took the lead in the sixth and sealed the win in the seventh with an 8-1 victory.
 08/12/08   U.S. opens with Olympic record for most runs scored in a game
The USA Softball team opened the 2008 Olympic Games making a statement breaking an Olympic record for most runs scored in a game by a single team and tying an Olympic record with three homeruns. The three-time defending Gold Medal winning team captured an 11-0 victory in five innings against Olympic rookie team Venezuela. Breaking its own previous record which was 10 runs from the 2004 Olympic Games, the U.S. used 11 hits including three home runs and a base clearing double to improve to a 15-game win Olympic win streak dating back to 2000.
