Candrea on Coaching
Coach Mike Candrea has been the Head Coach of Women's Softball at the University of Arizona for 24 years, coaching 76 All Americans and winning Eight NCAA National Championship titles. He has received 10 Pac-Ten Coach of the Year Awards and the UofA coaching staff received NFCA Staff of the Year in 2007. He was the National Team Head Coach for 8 years, winning a Gold Medal in 2004 and Silver Medal in 2008 Olympics. It has been both his honor and privilege to share with athletes and coaches his knowledge of fast pitch softball.
